5 Awesome Facebook Timeline Features

I must say I am absolutely loving the new Facebook Timeline layout, at first I had to admit I was a bit skeptic about the change, but it turns out this is one of the greatest and biggest changes Facebook has  made. Many of us were able to tryout the developer release and get a preview and feel for the new profile. Let’s take a quick look at a few highlights and features that timeline has to offer, hopefully you’ll see the positives that Timeline has to offer.

5. Control What Displays on Your Timeline:

Just like before you can choose which posts to hide or display, first click on view activity then:

Select any post in your Timeline, you can either completely remove it from your Timeline or change the privacy settings in an all new very easy to navigate and use layout. Now you can even feature pictures or status updates on your Timeline using the “feature button” this basically will move a picture or post to the top of your page so when others view your profile it will be the first thing they see other then your cover picture.

4. Update Information Easier Than Before:

Updating your information, relationships, work, education and more is easier than ever before. The simple to  new layout allows you to manage everything chronologically… Seeing that Facebook is basing the new profiles just like real life from birth to present.

3. Add A Baby Photo

Timeline has you covered, even though Facebook hasn’t been around since most of us were born we can still go back to our date of birth and add in memories. Simply click on the born part of your Facebook Timeline, from here you will be ably to add photos and information about your date of birth.. A cool new feature Facebook has never had before!

2. Add Milestones, Make Memories

Now we can add more to our timeline using new features such as: Milestones and other life events. Not only can we add current events that may have recently happened but we can also go back anywhere on our timeline to make changes as necessary.

1. Add Any Year, Any Month

Not only can you add milestones anywhere on your timeline you can create your whole life on Facebook. Perhaps an life changing event took place somewhere in 1999 before you ever had a Facebook, well guess what? You can add that too, never before have you been able to easily add information to your life such as events, places you’ve been. Facebook is now creating an auto-biography for all your events, skip handing in your essay on your life, just tell your professor to check out your Facebook, with Timeline  that is now easily feasible

Add Past Events FB Timeline

Add any past event, go to the past in Facebook and create your very own online mile markers. It only takes a matter of seconds and is now possible thanks to the amazing new features of the Facebook Timeline profile.

To Review: I first tried the developer release of Timeline, I knew about it a couple of weeks before the release date, I must say at first I was a bit hesitant towards even giving it a try, but I am sure glad I did. Facebook has made a lot of changes since I first signed up for the site back in 2009, by far Timeline has been one of the best changes, it’s very easy to use and navigate through, Facebook is a very well organized site, I hope you’re all enjoying the new profile as much as I have.
